Successful presentation at Techtextil 2019
The processing of the matrix fiber and reinforcing fiber rovings is realized via an electronically controlled creel for the exact adjustment of the thread tension of each individual roving. The resulting constant roving tensile force and the spreading technology developed by Cetex enable homogenous mixing of the fiber rovings into a hybrid roving or tape with fully stretched roving filaments - without the use of compressed air. The hybrid materials are not thermally fixed, whereby a classical textile processing in all possible applications such as, for example, braiding, wrapping, weaving, ... can be realized. Through the homogeneous mixing of the reinforcing fibers with the matrix fibers short flow paths and thus a rapid impregnation can be realized. For the production of the hybrid rovings, extensive tests were carried out with the manufacturers of the reinforcing fibers and the matrix fibers in order to define an optimal fiber-matrix combination for different fields of application. The system technology enables a completely free combination of reinforcing fibers and matrix fibers to form application-adapted hybrid rovings and tapes. At the booth, appropriately produced materials were exhibited.
The ZIM cooperation network RESSOURCETEX presented itself as a network of twelve companies and three research institutes working together to develop intelligent solutions for the continuous production of resource-efficient textile semi-finished products and semi-finished products made of fiber-reinforced plastics, as well as for recycling concepts of fiber residues and recycled carbon fibers and mineral fibers. The network is funded under the program "Central Innovation Program SME" sponsored by the BMWi. The Cetex Institute acts as a management body for the association.
