ITMA 2019: Large Response in Barcelona
The novel system enables fully automatic plant operation without interruption and the reproducible connection of the reinforcing fibers to each other. The roving change can be used for all available reinforcement fiber systems (glass, basalt, carbon). The development ensures a 24/7 operation of the plants and thus allows to significantly increase the output. The automatic roving exchange makes an important contribution to the continuous and large-scale production of continuous fiber-reinforced semi-finished products, which are of great importance for the use of fiber-plastic composite (FRP) applications.
Using a variety of material combinations, Cetex also presented a process for the highly flexible, continuous and effective production of hybrid rovings and hybrid tapes: a completely free combination of reinforcing, matrix and metal fibers to application-adapted hybrid rovings and tapes, too.
There were also many requests for our further developed laboratory spinning unit LSE 2000-2, which met with great resonance with its special properties and high variability.
