Alliance of Textile Lightweight Structures (ATL) at Techtextil 2017
According to the organizer, over 47,500 visitors (an increase of around 14 percent, 2015: 41,826) from 114 countries made their way to Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre from 9 to 12 May, to discover the most innovative products in the field of technical textiles and the latest processing technologies.
At the Techtextil 2017, the ATL first appeared on a well-attended stand with a new, uniform appearance. The aim of the cooperation within the framework of Alliance is the development of integral process chains for the production of textile basic elements as well as textile-reinforced high-performance components. This will contribute to the strengthening and development of Chemnitz as a center of science and industry.
The following institutions are also members of ATL:
- Chemnitz University of Technology (CUT)
- Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI)
- Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology / Research Center STEX.
The next Techtextil and Texprocess will be held in Frankfurt am Main from 14 to 17 May 2019.
