With innovative solutions for textile-based lightweight construction to Paris
Detachable rope end connection
A detachable rope end connection was developed in a BMWK project funded by ZIM. The solution, which was developed in cooperation with the Chemnitz University of Technology and Gebrüder Ficker GmbH Formen- und Werkzeugbau, meets the special requirements of plastic fibre ropes and can be used in a wide range of applications. Whether for frequent reeving changes in crane applications, as a steel cable replacement in lifts or as a design-technically appealing and highly resilient alternative in event stage construction. Due to the very good static and dynamic properties, the development represents a real alternative to the conventional splice connection.
C-Bar® - impregnated integral thin carbon short cut fibre for concrete applications
Together with the company newcycle GmbH, a process for the cost-effective production of carbon cut fibres for concrete applications was realised in the BMWK project "Carbosticks". With "C-Bar®", an innovative fibre-based reinforcement system for building materials has been developed, which enables an optimal fibre distribution in the concrete component at lower overall costs. The system also allows the production of thin filigree concrete structures.
HYROV hybrid rovings
The process for the highly flexible, continuous and effective production of HYROV hybrid rovings was developed in cooperation with The Filament Factory GmbH and thermoPre ENGINEERING GmbH and will be presented using various material combinations and an animation of the system. The end user can be offered not only the supply of application-adapted materials, but also the engineering for subsequent component applications, including the prototyping of the FRP components.
